Church Launch in Lavon, TX
Bear Creek Community Church launched in the fall of 2026. After beginning a Bible study in their home in 2023, Bart and Elizabeth Blair, along with David and Taylor Watson, have been working to build a core team and launch team in one of the fastest-growing communities in the Dallas area. Lavon, Texas, has grown from a small town of about 400 people in 2009 to a community of nearly 10,000 people in 2025. With a few established churches in the once sleepy farming community, they saw this as a great opportunity to launch a new Gospel-centered church.
You can participate by spending two and a half days in Lavon helping with local promotions and community engagement. Add an extra day or two to make your Texas visit as Texas as possible!
